My youngest son has already finished up the school year (kindergarten ends early) and I wanted to bring in a little treat for him to hand out to his classmates at the end-of-school party. Really I think they are from *me* as I'm more traumatized about school ending than him. I helped out in the classroom once a week so I have become quite attached to these sweet kids.
I figured I'd share the printable in case anyone would like to make some, too. They are made to fit around Hershey Miniatures Chocolate Bars. Just cut out, fold at each vertical line, and adhere around bar on the adhesive tab. I recommend "signing" them before cutting.
Print onto white cardstock and *be sure* to set the Page Scaling to None when printing or they won't be the right size. The PDF is here: Download Owlmissyou
I also kept with the owl theme for "wrapping" the teacher gift. I simply cut angles from the top corners of a small treat bag and folded down, stapling once filled with goodies to secure. I added eyes made up of circle punches and a rounded chest freehand cut with scissors.
At first I thought he looked too mad, but now I just can't get enough of him. Lots of personality :P
such a great idea!!

Thank you so much! I teach first grade and we've studied owls at length this year. This will be the PERFECT little treat to send them on their way to second grade!

Sherry, I emailed you the file directly. In a previous post, someone who wasn't able to see a pdf download hit refresh and was able to see it. But if anyone still needs it, just pop me an email and I'd be glad to send directly =)

I can't seem to download the printable. My tears are flowing fast and I'm fearful of flooding my home. Seriously, the typepad thing shows up but it's just a dark gray page. I am truly sad because both of my daughters teach school and this would be adorable for them to give out at the end of the school year. I also have signed up for email notices of your blog entries but haven't received any. I learned of this one through To Be Charmed. Any suggestions on what I should do would be appreciated.
