I was excited to get a chance to use the new interchangeable border punches from Fiskars.
They function the same way as their regular border punches, except you can pop out different design cartridges so they store very compactly!
I used them to spice up the popular paper strip ornaments.

I wanted to pass along an awesome idea I found here when searching for bake sale ideas for our school's Harvest Fest. She came up with the genius idea of using 9 oz. plastic cups wrapped in treat bags to individually package cupcakes. I added a little spoon tied on to mine because I just like eating cupcakes with spoons (I know I'm weird).
They really do fit perfectly and made transporting so easy without having to worry about any mess.
Sorry I dropped off the face of the planet ~ things got super crazy around here. So I am going to skip over Halloween for right now and fast forward to Thanksgiving!

Print the design onto the back of your cardstock (so the lines will be hidden inside). Cut on solid lines. Score and fold on dotted lines.

It's Halloweek here on my blog! I plan on sharing an easy Halloween project each day this week.
So you may know that I have an obsession with mustaches on sticks. I can't explain it, but I own it. This has led to an obsession with just about anything on a stick. I've done Santa mustaches and snowman noses for holidays before and figured for Halloween a Jack O'Lantern smile would be appropriate =).
These sticks are fun for parties or photo props. I'm including a printable here in case you want to get in on the sticky fun. You can either trace it onto black craft foam as I've done here or print the solid version straight onto white cardstock to cut out. Then just glue to a thin wooden dowel.

I have accumulated quite the collection of paper scraps over the years.
So I challenged myself to create some scrapbooking layouts using up only my scraps for embellishments.
It felt great to not only use up some scraps, but to challenge myself creatively in the process.

I was excited driving into our tree-lined neighborhood yesterday noticing the leaves are beginning to change. Living in Oregon I try to soak in the beautiful leaves as early as possible because the rain makes them fall way too quickly!
Here is a story opener I created for Scrapbooks Etc. magazine (before text was added) featuring diy paper leaves. They have directions over on their blog on how to create these leaves yourself.
I've always loved making the kids' Halloween costumes. The more kids I have, and the busier life gets, I've had to learn to take short cuts!
Starting with a premade base, like a hoodie, just lets me spend more time doing the fun part of embellishing. I'm sharing this year's costumes over at Fiskars. You can see the full article and photos here.
