These fun paper flowers were in the April issue of Scrapbooks Etc. magazine. I noticed they had online directions after visiting their new pinterest page.

watermelon embellishments
We have been partially living off of watermelon here this summer. Well, all of us except for my oldest son who doesn't like watermelon. Have you ever heard of such a thing??
So all of this watermelon-eating reminded me of a layout I created for last year's June cover of Scrapbooks Etc. magazine. Here is a link to the Scrapbooks Etc. blog with directions for both the layered watermelon and also the banner (which is actually down in the comment section there). These would be a cute addition to many summer projects including party decorations =).

lemonade stand
Summer is in full swing, and the lemonade is plentiful at the Storms household.
One summertime activity the kids love is having a lemonade stand, so I created an article over at Fiskars on how to make your own stand with a removable faux awning that stores away easily without damaging your table!
